hello! my name is catsonic :-) after seeing many videos on yt about making your own website and the old web in general i thought it might be fun to try my hand at it. i had my first attempt a while ago on neocities but gave up and decided now to come here :)
things i enjoy: playing music, doing art, riding my bicycle, good food, BL, colorful things
i like tech to an extent - i don't know much about hardware but i do like software! i currently daily drive linux mint and i try to find FOSS alternatives to things. i also enjoy tinkering with things (read: getting things to work) on my computer even if it drives me crazy sometimes. in that aspect i really appreciate the freedom to just.. tinker.. on linux. it's a very casual enjoyment - i don't actually know that much. the terminal and me are not acquainted. google-fu mostly.
another thing i enjoy is film photography! i took an online course about it once and it was really hands on and fun! we had to muck about with chemicals and create prints and all that jazz. i voluntarily also decided that i should purchase b&w development chemicals to do it at home because i didn't have anywhere near me that would develop regular b&w film :( but as it turns out it is very fun to do it myself! and the thrill of not knowing whether you've succeeded or not.. oh man. i don't shoot very often but when i do it's really pog or whatever.
afforementioned BL enthusiasm. always at the back of my mind and sometimes the binge season hits. it's very fun though, i recommend. i really enjoy finishing a series and then going to the tumblr tag and reading other peoples thoughts. sometimes agree sometimes don't. always a good time. i keep a media diary on anytype (pretty good program, try it!) where i try to log series and movies i have watched and comment on each episode, even if it's mostly just live reactions to whats happening. jbls are my main thing, they are pretty consistently a hit. the ~vibe~ just works.
